Hi all...

I live in the Phoenix area. I have found that carpet tracks are near impossible to find here. There was one track in the area that had an indoor carpet but they are in the process of converting this to an indoor dirt track mainly due to lack of intrest in the carpet track. Most new racers here seem to want to get in to nitro 1/8th scale or the nitro monster trucks. I really enjoy carpet racing with my TC4 and my 12L4 but it would seem that I am in the minority. Is this just a trend in the RC world, or something that is just going on here?

As far as I know, TC racing is the most popular in this country (and probably the world). And, while carpet racing is the norm here in the midwest (no sense in having an asphalt track that is covered in snow half the year), they are hard to find out west in the warmer climates. Check Pro-Line's track directy for local tracks (looks like they're outdoor asphalt, though):

I have heard about CH before. A few of my friends here have been talking about taking a ride down there to check it out. Form what I understand it is around 1.5hrs away from Phoenix. I have also been told that it is a really cool place. Thanks for the info man!!!

If I need a racing fix in the winter I have a 3+ hour drive to St. Cloud MN. There is a group that runs carpet racing most every Sunday through out the winter. I try to go every other week or so to keep the skills up. The Duluth Mn area also has a Winter carpet program. It's also 3 hours away from me.

I run a TC3, and a CRC carpet knife.
