This is what I do with my art, I make tattoo flash. Now if I can only apply it to an airbrush for some cool bodies

Hey! I can't draw...but I can operate an airbrush -kind of-. Tattoo flash is where I found the only 'artistic training' I've ever had. (Unless you count painting 2 1/2 ton 6x6 military trucks and such camouflage art, Ha!) Working with a light table and such to modify flash for a few individuals in the past. I think of it as 'faking it'...but it works for me. Fact is...I've been after my friend -Tattoo artist- to dig that old flash from his garage... I think it would be an excellent start to more designs that we all could paint, combined! Depending on your tastes of course. I recall he has a lot of old hot rod flash of rats, skulls -TOO many Ha!- and flames on anything from pistons to bike wheels. Super easy to transfer this onto a car body I think...it's not as detailed (usually) as most other things I try to work with.
Operating an airbrush is easy -kind of-. ;) Think of it as your drawing pencil...only, when you back up, the lines get wider, when you move closer, thinner. All you've gotta do is get the hang of thinning paint -correctly- and matching your air pressure to it -Lower is usually better- Then wash, mask, aim...and press the trigger. Do everything in reverse, and always remember...surface prep is 50% of the job well done! Too easy...

This kind of art is perfect for car body designs. Yours is very well done, thanks for sharing! Mind if I touch a few with sticky fingers?.. :o

I dont care, I made about 20 sheets of flash and could'nt sell it. but then again I have not really advertised it all that much. It is weird because (not that I am bragging) but it is alot better than alot of the flash out there. and mine is freehand. so go figure? All the stuff I posted is from my Heaven and Hell collection and at the least someone can use it here for a body or maybe get a tattoo of it. I for once would like to see my art on something useful. It would be nice
