Since you guys are putting the time and effort in, I'm going to try and make this happen this month. In our next issue (December 2005) I'm going to make the Custom Works Colum feature the bodies in these paint contest. I might not be able to feature them all, but I want to try and get them in there as inspriration.

Now I can't promise this as 100% yet, because I do have a planned article, but I think it would be cool to show our readers of the print magazine your hard work on line.

"RC411 Paint Competition!"

"Think that you can paint? Most of us can barely get two colors to match, but some of you can throw down a paint scheme that could be right at home on a church ceiling. So we want to see if you have got what it takes by entering our new monthly painting contest on our website. Check out the forums and hit up the painting section for guidelines and rules. The winner will be featured here [the mag] and win a free 6 month subscription of XRC!"

Thanks for considering me worth such an honorable position. I'll do my very best to be fair, and above all, honest. I suppose I'll start off by entering my 1949 Merc cruiser. "With Teeth"...τΏτ=.
It's a Parma 200mm body, mounted on my Associated TC-4. I've painted it using Faskolor paints, flips, color change, a touch or two of glitter, and Spaz Stix mirror chrome details. I came up with the door graphics from an HPI ad..seems it was on a tee shirt (?) I've modified the 'tribal flaming skull' design to suit. A friend of mine sent me the "Vinnie English" character I've painted on the hood..yes...with chrome/gold teeth. The skull and crossed bones <-one of my favs!- on the rear were also 'borrowed' from a magazine ad (wonder which one? ) and modified for the car. I've even used fonts found on an album cover for the "Street Sweeper" script on the very back of the lead sled... Those are custom painted "24 Series" Pro Line wheels/tires..with aluminum spinners on all four corners. It makes top speed runs something special to behold.... The wheel/tire combination fit with very few issues...too easy. I've left the headlights clear..and the taillight 'lenses' with a light coat of translucent red, for working lights -later on when I'm in a 'better economical situation'...as well as advanced enough for such a project-.
Oh! I wanna let Y'all in on a little 'trick' I've been testing with my spinner bearings. I've done as instructed in the tech topic article in your most informative magazine (thanks very much for those!) The only thing I've changed is... After flushing the -way thick- factory grease from my new bearings, I've replaced it with a fairly heavy coat of "Dupont Teflon Multi-Use Lubricant" with quite amazing results so far! It's almost as if I'd laid down the heavy funds for teflon bearings...for the cost of a shot or five of cleaner and a few shots of -well shaken!- lube. Great thing is..it dries to a thin film that doesn't seem to have even the slight drag thin oils can sometimes cause, especially in colder weather. Another nice thing is it doesn't seem attract dust or dirt -so far-..too sweet - :) . I'll keep Y'all posted if this lube experiment goes horribly wrong.. I'm not used to getting so much...without paying for it somewhere. We'll see...τΏτ=
I hope you'll enjoy my Merc Cruiser, I've had a great time laying it out and painting it...with just about every color I have on hand...or could mix Ha! It's even more fun to cruise the local parking lots with it..folks have just gotta know what it is, or so it seems :) . Y'all paint safe...always wear your respirator -correctly!-.

Im going to enter, I dont expect or care to win. And you guys should not either. Its more about sharing for the enjoyment of others. Everybody from this and previous contests should go back and put there work on the largest paint thread as well...........please........

I was afraid, after RC Infusion won the winter paint contest, that people would get mad and cry foul because RC infusion is a XRC advertiser. Now we have nitroracerx7 who is a paint contest co judge, drop a badass body at the beginning of the contest. I really gotta think entries have slowed up partially due to these facts

There is nothing on the line here. Lets see some of those bodies people!!!

It was kinda a slap in the face not to judge the new years contest. The 2 people with entries took the time to post, and there was no rule on the # of entries before the contest would be judged.

Thank you very much for such a wonderful compliment! It means a lot coming from you Mustang... I'm in awe of your paint work. Please don't be skeered  ...I didn't submit my Merc for that! I could point out hundreds -if not more!- mistakes on that car..but I dare not! I'm hoping the better points of the complete car will keep your eyes busy enough to miss..or at least accept, the flaws. Looks like it's working :)
Most of all.. Y'all have gotta know I'm no artist, by any means! I can barely write my own name -so you may read it-. Most everything I do with my airbrush is simply mix, adjust, point, and shoot. I've found all of the designs on the web, from friends, or the only R/C Car magazine I read..-wonder which one Ha! - Trick is..always keep your eyes open for stuff you like...then check if it will fit onto -and flow with!- a body you have in mind...scan it into your PC, reverse it..and make it happen! I'll let on to one 'trick' that has really made a huge difference in how I'm able to put my ideas on our cars more easily... Bob Dively's Liquid Masking Film (1-800-752-1650 ext.23). I have a dedicated Paasche "H", single action airbrush with a #5 tip dedicated to spraying nothing but this wonderful stuff all inside of every body I paint. I usually lay down three to five heavy as possible coats -depending on how complex the design is- with lots of heat gun drying time in between coats. After that...it's a 'Razor/X-Acto pilot's' game... Tape a print out, or draw your design on the outside -Reversed!- then slice and dice your dreams into fast moving reality. Way easier than it looks...and tons of fun! The best advice I can give Y'all is to practice on -cut in half- two liter clear plastic bottles until you're satisfied with your color combinations, and skill to pull the trick off sweet. I'll paint as many as five bottles per car -That's like painting ten cars! (half bottle=car) - I also admit to sometimes painting none...as some designs are pretty simple..and the colors are not your choice, as in the case of painting one of your favorite motorsports star's racing ride. Other than that...have fun! That's what this is all about...right? Y'all paint safe...only two lungs issued, make the most of them

Here is an entry. I have a B4 and a Nemisis TC I will post later. This is my favorite because it is for me! It is a JConcepts Illuzion for the LST. It has been custom trimmed and reamed (before painting) to fit my HPI Hellfire. This is my favorite design because I can see my truck/buggy on the track very well.
It was masked with B Dively liquid masking. It was painted with createx auto air paints. Deep Black, Brite white, hot orange and hot yellow.

This HPI Dodge Charger was painted for a RC car store.
I used Fasescent purple. the flames are with 4 colors: createx chameleon silver/gold, createx nightmare blue, faskolor purple and faskolor rapsberry.
The outlines of the flames are alclad chrome.

I find the flames great because the color changes every time when you look at a different angle.. it's difficult to get it on a picture (i guess you have the same problem?)

Here is a Trinity Killer B for the B4 I finished this weekend. Liquid masked, painted in createx auto air paints. Iridescent purple and blue, hot pink, hot sunburst and hot yellow. Wing is gloss black and brite white.

THE NEXT 4 POSTS DONT MAKE ALOT OF SENSE BECAUSE TEAM3SIX TALKED A BUNCH OF SMACK ABOUT ME AND COULD NOT HANDLE A LITTLE COMEBACK ON MY BEHALF. SO HE DELETED ALL OF HIS POSTS. SORRY FOR ANY CONFUSION ,BASICALLY HE SAID I SUCK, ALL OF MY STUFF IS BORING AND THERE WAS NO WAY IN HELL I SHOULD WIN ANYTHING, THEN HE POSTED LIKE 30 OF MY BODIES.WITH FLAMES, ALL I DO IS FLAMES ...BALH BLAH BLAH..
AWWW I HURT HIS LITTLE FEELINGS.....

Hey, thats suprising, but whatever. I am stoked , If it makes triple six angry its well worth it

I really like the tiger body myself. My stuff is all the same but some people really like my simple CLEAN paintwork.I take pride in making a racecar look fast, not like some hippy poster from Haight street.

Anyways thanks HRD, If you get grief for this months contest just remember controversy is the seed of Interest. I appriciate the opportunity to share.

Hey 666 I have some more tribal bodies I just finished up. I will make sure to enter them for your enjoyment Norman. :D

And, yes Norman you would get more respect with some parma paint masking and spray cans done well, than entering stuff you paid someone like me (I pimp bodies?!?) to do for you.

Are you ready to threaten me again like in the XRC hit 1000 post? :D

I must say... That's not a very gracious way to address our host, nor say thank you for winning the contest. I imagine the rest of us worked as hard..or harder, on our cars with -most likely- not as good equipment, supplies, or work space to do it in, as you clearly enjoy. No need for any grief here...as we're doing this mainly for fun...right? I'm beginning to wonder...

[QUOTE=Stan@1stPlaceRace]THE NEXT 4 POSTS DONT MAKE ALOT OF SENSE BECAUSE I HURT HIS FEELINGS.....

Hey, thats suprising, but whatever. I am stoked , If it makes triple six angry its well worth it  <- Very, very, sorry attitude.. If ever I catch my young one acting like this...in public...we'll never make it to the woodshed...τΏτ=

What a complete waste of time.......... I'm glad most of my attention has gone to the more serious paint contests lateley. I just checked back to see if there was anything worth while here and I must say I am extremely dissapointed. Two color flame jobs with far too heavy outlines don't say winner to me......just boring. They don't even inspire painters to try something new or creative. The only thing they inspire me to do is quit wasting my time checking this site out. I'll promptly be removing this forum from my favorites.

Stan@1stPlaceRace, I really dont care to waste my time with you, but since you put forth again to place your words so eliquintly on the screen and make issue publically of more problems between you and I.

1. I really can't remember why I got pissy with you to begin with some time back, but I do recall that there was a truce of somesorts. but when you recently made a post about the 1000 person. How dare I make a responce about getting free stuff, then when you apposed I agreed and offered the idea that XRC offer any items they may have in an Auction. But the one thing that set me off to no end is when you made a remark that my convictions of making the aution benifit childrens cancer. Fine I will come out and say it, HEY ASSWHOLE I hope to god a prey that NO one you know or love ever comes in contact with a terrible disease like that. Because you have no F@#king Idea how seriously bad it is and my thought to make an Aution seemed to be a good idea for getting money for childrens cancer.

2. Well, as I said before and I made the appology towards this, But I see that perhaps your backwoods inbreeded self could not read before posting your last remarks that I did not think that your bodies warrented any such award that if any one in here with the mind to take the time could see that just about 98% of your bodies are THE SAME!!! so yeah, you have no vision accept for your talent to spay paint colors that match.

3. As of today I am through with XRC forums and want someone who knows what they are doing over thier to politely remove me as a member and I will tell you why, as I said before there are lots of (GREAT) people in here and I was encouraging others to join in hopes that this forum would have more people that had a brain for this hobby. Because honestly I sure can't depend on anyone from the XRC staff to offer any advice to a question. Derek spends more time responding to other questions in here then to his own (Ask Derek forum) and if I have to read one more time that Dustin is asking which buggy is the best, Im gonna shoot myself in the hand just to quit coming on here. The fact is XRC puts out a WICKED magazine but this forum consists of 70% dumbshit's that should not be allowed to handle explosive fuel around other people let alone judge a contest awarding a win to a talentless idealist whom calls himself a body painter. Honestly, I felt that nitroracerx7 or mustang should have won because of the IDEA and pinting was better layed out than a continuously copied 800 times over flame.

And finally I will leave with this note. Stan@1stPlaceRace. Unlike you I actually don't have to wrap my life around this forum, which thanks to you will lead me to spending more time practicing for what my sponcers would like to recieve as a win. I hope and prey that one day you and I meet on the track, because my best reward will not be in giving you a much needed ass beating, but to beat you continously in every main. But chances are you will always be stuck in your backyard track trying to impress locals to play with you.

Well, as I said before and I made the appology towards this, But I see that perhaps your backwoods inbreeded ( dude im gonna miss you and your 3rd grade writing skills, you make me laugh so much, Im sorry to see you go) self could not read before posting your last remarks that I did not think that your bodies warrented any such award that if any one in here with the mind to take the time could see that just about 98% of your bodies are THE SAME!!! so yeah, you have no vision accept for your talent to spay paint colors that match.

Yea, I have said I gave up art for production, they are all the same etc myself. But the design is in demand. When somebody sees something on a b4 body they want a similar xxxnt, or GT, or savage, or TC or xxx or etc. etc. etc. I spent about 1 1/2 hours total on that b4 and Im laughing all the way to the bank.

3. Nitroracerx7 was my pick also, but Im not the judge

And finally I will leave with this note. Stan@1stPlaceRace. Unlike you I actually don't have to wrap my life around this forum, ( Im on 12 weeks paternity leave with my new child, I have alot af friggin time on my hands and Im stuck in the house most of the time, dont worry after the 19th I wont live here anymore) which thanks to you will lead me to spending more time practicing for what my sponcers ( who are your sponsors, prozac? I know its not hooked on phonics)would like to recieve as a win. I hope and prey that one day you and I meet on the track, because my best reward will not be in giving you a much needed ass beating, but to beat you continously in every main. But chances are you will always be stuck in your backyard track trying to impress locals( dude all of the locals who race at my free races are impressed that I care about racing in the area, There is no track in northern Nevada that is consistanly open, We race for fun, not glory, not to say we are the best, not to tell others how much the suck, just for fun) to play with you.

Thanks again HRD, I think?

Unlike some people he only does it for fun.
3six is someone he knows and can joke around with. Lets see you paint somthing cool looking. The photos in one of your other posts are not the best, his paint jobs have too simpile shading. When he can master the shading part of art the you can say he is good.
If you use the paint right then it will last for about 4 bodys. He is not looking to make money on painting when he owns a race track. Take your BS to someone who cares what you think about something sold on ebay. It might help to learn about the people you talk about before you post BS.

I can't believe the BS coming from the Chad character, I've been busy and havent' posted anything in a long time, but will soon. Stan, don't let a lunatics ranting get under your skin, from what I've seen few can paint as many bodies of high quality as you.

Come on Stan, You and me go way back..... Is that the way you treat your buddy. Public Information is not against the law and I withheld certain information to protect you anonymity. Derek, you should know this as much as anyone who is in the role of being an Editor there is so such thing as freedom of speech as long as I am not violating any rules this forum obligates me too and that is a 1st amendment law. Stan in order for me to be a stalker, would I be attacking you on the internet, or are you that much of a knob. Better look for a better reason to blame, and let it be known that you are not that attractive for you to earn the right for stalking. The simple fact is that you choose to start something that did not begin here. I am simply bringing on a whole new spectrum of light on the matter off what lies between black and white is not always shades of grey but colors that blind the eyes. as the saying goes, you F&^k me once, shame on me. you F&^k twice shame on you! And you know as well as I that is not that hard for me to contact the E.P.A. and have your little freedom track shut down before you can blink that blinded eye. because if you are smart, and Stan I know you are somewhat intelligent. there is laws in the state on Nevada that are governed by the E.P.A.. And I guess you would know that because there is certain foliage that grows in Nevada that is protected. Lets just say that things are closer than you think

He'd be freaking me out right now if i were stan. chad is a friggen stalker. btw chad, not everyone can paint like stan does, and yes, not everyone can paint like you either. It's the style that is unique. everyone has different capabilities. for example, you could be good at painting bodies but s*** at racing. So shut up and keep your rude criticism to yourself.

Nothing bugs me more than somebody who thinks a constitutional amendment applies in a private forum. Unfortunately you "agreed" to the rules of this forum and it mentions nothing about being annoying.

The easy option for you at this point is to stop being a problem and everybody in this forum. The easy solution is to ban "yahoo" accounts in general, but I don't think that's necessary at this point. So do the right thing and stop. If you continue, we'll play the ban IP address in blocks.

I'd also like to add, I don't reply to "he's bugging me or picking on me emails." Sorry but it's just as easy to ignore people. If you notice if you don't pay attention to the problem posters generally they go away after getting no attention.

Sure they may kill everybody in their town after they get mad nobody cares, but at least I don't get emails about that.

A lot of forums should use IP ban. Too many idiots online nowadays.

It's hard to block IPs on some systems because it's a larger block. I don't like wasting my time trying to police the forum.

ummm... why are you even considering dissing on stan before even posting any of your own work? are you too scared to take critism. or possibly win your own stalker? before you even start to critisize me, go back into previous contests and look at my posts. if your lazy, i would be fine with posting them here... but u have to stop annoying everybody before that will happen. ive never even heard of... or even thought of somebody that wins a paint contest... then gets RUINED by somebody because of it. good job stan, keep up the good work bud. just put all the bad comments in the past and then shove them up their *** with your next paintjobs.

I don't believe in "policing" at all. Things balance themselves out naturally. If somebody is being a prick, over time the prick leaves.

i agree to a point about what your talking about derek. that point being that things eventually work themselves out, and the prick leaves. but if the prick is warned... then keeps doing what he was doing, which leads to being banned, then creates another profile only to do the same thing. i dont think he should recieve a warning. i think he should be banned immediatly. an example of this in the real could be somebody that has, lets say, a speeding ticket. the officer decides to be nice and give him a warning. next day, gets cought again, same officer stops him and gives him a ticket (in a way, another warning). the guy hasnt learned yet, get stopped again, goes to jail. he escapes jail without being cought. hes cought speeding again soon after that. the officer isnt going to give him a warning, hes going to send him back to jail. see where im coming from? in my example, banning= jail. he beat the system, then got cought. he shouldnt revieve another warning.

Online forum rule #1- DON'T FEED THE TROLLS :p
The only reason trolls do this is for attention. they just want to be recognized.

If it were that easy, but he can create just as fast as I can delete. And recognizing him only feeds the fire. I know when I'm trying to cause trouble that if somebody is set against me I try harder.

Holy S#!T!!! You have to be kidding me. OK first thing is first and I honestly really give a crap about what you all think. I go away for awhile and all this crap starts to roll down and as they say "Let the shit hit the fan!" Look I went away for a week to take care of personal business and let my cousin use my home and take care of my dog's. I get home, took care of some things, check my computer and hit RC411 today after work only to find that not only are pictures of my cars are posted on here, My name is being bashed by Stan for some reason, and chad turns out to be my freaking cousin. No he is not a stalker! if you must know he is just a smart ass 15 year old kid. I can not speak for him and I can not justify what is going on. But I assure you this is gonna stop. Look Ummm HRDforever. I did not want my RC's to get posted in the forum, but I guess the secret is out on the bodies. Stan I dont know what set you off and I dont know you, or care if you want to piss me off. Grow the hell up. This is not romper room. Derek I do not want to be kicked off of RC411 because I like this site. and Chad will not be a problem since chad is not really his name. anyways, If you are all pissed. It happens and there was nothing I could do about it.
