Is there any way to get the paint off the body? Or is there any way to stop it from cracking?

If it is freshly painted (not cured for too long, maybe a day), I have used brake fluid to soak paint off and it works fine.
Takes about an hour. Don't use any scrubbing or you scratch the body.

By cracking, do you mean flaking off? Like it's not adhering to the plastic?

Ithink he means when it dries, the paint looks like dirt when it dries out after it was muddy.
If that is the case keep the coats light, and the problem will go away, for the most part I don't think you can put any other paint over it you might be better off trying to get the paint off, or not worriy about it.

The cracking can be caused by a few things usally you spray it to thick the first coat, or I have noticed when I use a heat gunto speed things up some times it can dry to fast and cause it to crack.

I've got a similar situation. I started painting the red bits when I guess I still had a trace amount of Black paint somewhere in the airbrush. I've now got a barely noticeable splotch on the roof of the body. I'm planning on a strategic application of decals to hide it.

Don't know if this tactic would work for you, but FWIW...

Good luck,

I've used rubbing alcohol and paper towels, folded to make a 'buffing pad' to rub off more than a few serious mistakes. :o It's best if you can get to it before the paint cures too long. I'm sure the type of paint mattes a lot... I'm referring to Faskolor acrylics here. If it's lacquer based...good luck! M.E.K. -Methyl Ethyl Keytone- (found at Home Depot) will remove most anything....and it will also attack, and 'melt' plastic. It's my last resort... I've yet to try it on lexan. I generally use it to clean my airbrush after use. Be very mindful of the fumes with that stuff! It evaporates at a remarkable rate...and is toxic. Word to the wise. Have you tried to 'push' the paint off using a wooden dowel, or other suitable device? That works pretty good to 'erase' weeps when using tape for stripes
Hope that helps!
