I like it, I think you should try a 1/8th scale buggy because it has the dome which would make the window stand out. That is one of the coolest paint jobs I have seen.

The kinda stuff I paint to please myself... 2 hard anodized reds from SpazStix, bright red from Parma, candy gold backed with chrome for the pinstripes and white. Simple and very time consuming, but definitely stands out in a crowd. ;)

Nope, right now the new outdoor track in Dekalb at IRP, then once Leisure Hours gets the outdoor track done, I'll be racing out there—2wd, 4wd and stadium truck electrics (mod or 19T).

Hmmm, I think I am gonna start hitting the track out in Milwaukee as far as the touring goes. Been busy up-grading and setting up my cars, so i should be ready to start racing soon. But not too sure about this so far this year, but just over the wisconsin border in Bristol. there is a small RC shop that has a dirt track built in the back. every year so far they have been racing for trophy. If you guys are intrested I will find out the name and Number for you.

Always good to know where more nice tracks are. I'd appreciate it, thanks.
Here's some photos of the XX4we I finished for myself last night. It was kind of a quickie, and not what I originally wanted to do, but it at least doesn't look like everything else out there.

Awe man that is a sweet looking paint job on that, I dig those almost ghost painted skulls on there, and nice cherry like paint color there. that is some good clean lines on that. Do you take on projects? I mean I dont know how well you paint but I have an idea to make a body resemble the paint job much like the Jet Bike chopper on OCC

I don't do paintwork for others anymore—mostly because of the time involved. I do paint for friends every now and then, but only if they don't have a deadline and don't tell me what to paint. ;) I appreciate the compliments, though.

I have to tell you, This month has been really nice to see for paint jobs. I am obviously not the judge but this is just me opinion on the individual jobs.
1. I really like the Aircraft design because of it's originality and design. No to much depth in colors but a great fun body alltogether. (By the way with your permission MajesticRC I would like to attempt that body style if it is cool with you?)
2. the second body from majestic is really nice too. Good color choices and clean. But to me that is your basic body (please don't be offended, as i said it is only my opinion)
3. RCczarofold's Blue and Orange cars strike my eye with the rich colors and they appear to have a marble look to them which brings attention to it's design.
4. Drift, sorry man I can see anything but a truggy haulin ass.
5. APEX, I love the checker look. maybe I am just partial to the rich red color. but both of them are sweet. but I fi I had to pick one ourt of your entries it would definately be the Ghost skulls paint job.
6. Orosrt4's bodys have great freehand work giving it a weird display of colors and design's. it appears that the squiggly on the hood is floating and the damn blood rich marble red color is just tight.
7. and racetrackrat's snake theme is really good too and hit's the originality thing for me. I really like the detail in the snake skin and that had to take a really really long time. I give ya cuddos on the skin but the grass allthough good idea has no depth to it. But maybe it has to look like that otherwise it would take away from the snake skin look. But hey all of you rocked this month. Hard desision on HRDforever's hand's indeed

You're more than welcome to use P-40 design for personal use, all I ask is if it goes to print please give me some credit. I always appreciate HONEST opinions from anyone. Im just tired of people with crooked cut lines, bleed thru & blotched shading getting credit for "awesome" paint jobs.
Thank you guys for the contest & giving us "little" guys a chance. Good Luck to all of the other painters.

I would of liked to see more pics of it from difern't angles. It does look quite nice, just you were overed showed by MajesticRC and his one original paint scheame. Also if you added some drop shadows it would of been even better. ;) (not that you had to, just would make it cooler)

Honestly, if you really think about it, yeah there are great paint jobs and good paint jobs and then there are spray paint jobs. I really think that anyone who makes the effort to paint a body for themselves deserves a pat on the back. It takes time even to do the simplest of jobs and we all want to be winners weather it is a paint job or just some custom work to our rides. I really mean this but you are all pretty good in my book! It should make you all happy that at the least you are after all keeping this hobby intresting. and there is always somebody out there who does not have any patience to paint who needs a nice paint job to make their RC their own

Hey, thats amazing, most people tell me I suck! Sorry, I guess your avitar makes me think you are hostile. :) I am very utilitarian, very basic. 2 kids, a track and a "real" job outside of painting mean I cant spend too much time being " fancy" with my paint work. Thanks for the kind words. Your P40 is still the coolest warbird I have ever seen. Were those sheet metal lines air or hand brushed?

sorry, i just kinda got mad cause no matter where i post the bodys i paint noone ever coments on them. makes me think they suck. but when you see someone like bodz or lids post a body and everyone and their grandmaw post how it is soo nice (this is on other forums). i just like to get some feed back when posting up my paint to see if i am doing something wrong or not.

i dont plan on winning, just like to hear some comments. so i can improve for my next paint jobs. the only thing that i dont like about when people post on paint is when they can only do one color jobs, but when you see their post on a 6-7 color body that had no bleeds and they are knocking on it telling the paint it sucks. that i cant stand.
just makes me feel warm inside when people comment on my paint jobs.

Hey Rob, I like your work, looks good, everything flows nice and the lettering is perfect. Of course I know it doesn't carry the same meaning as it would have two or three weeks ago! It's kinda like when your wife asks "Do you like my hair cut?"... even if you noticed that she got it cut before she asked, you're already damned for not saying so before she had to ask and it doesn't quite mean the same! Timing is everything I guess! But seriously... nice work!

OK, well i was going to have TKcustoms paint me a body.that is why I asked majestic for permission. to be honest with you all I had the idea but I got beat to the layout.I just think maybe it just is not right to make this since it is not original. Here was my idea for the layout. In the first draft I had the mouth and eyes for it, but I deleted it and decided to go with just the 50's pinup girl on the side. I know this was going to take alot of time to do and i was willing to pay the money to do it. But if anyone wants the design, it is yours

That's it? No rank order or anything? You know 2nd, 3rd, 4th.... for some of us it's not just about being first! It's nice to know what the judge(s) think of the over-all paint scheme, design, execution... etc. Everyone worked hard on their paint jobs and to be left with a "winner only" answer is like the Olympics only announcing the winner of the Gold medal and never telling the rest of the competitors where they placed! How are you ever suppose to learn where you could to improve if you don't know whether you came in 10th or 2nd?
I'll save someone a post... We all know the saying "2nd place is just the first loser" but let us decide that for ourselves! :o
