I was dyeing some arms for my revo and I got some light spots in them. I have dyeed some stuff before and never had this problem. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem or did I just goof something up?

try cleaning the surface so its perfect before dyeing, also too, if you let it sit in the pot longer it'll come out darker, weather you used liquid or powder dye too also can affect it.

I usually use the liquid dye but this time I tried the powder type. I left the parts in longer that I wanted so some of it is actually darker that I wanted.

if dying RPM arms are exactly like dying a lacrosse head, then as long as the mix is above 80degrees celciusand your dye bath is concentrated ( in a small pot) then ever dye you have should come out perfect, regardless of powder or liquid. ive dyed sticks for over 4 years so i think i know what im saying
anyways happy dyeing
PS.
try going with a combo of white red then black using a glue gun to make designs
after your finished just throw the part in the freezer and peel the glue off

I would like to dye my parts on my RC10T. What is the best way to get the job done? I have the color picked out using RIT liquid concentrated but they don't exactly have directions for A-arms. Is there a certain temp (do I boil them?), mix %RIT/%water etc ect etc???? Any help would be appreciated.

now what you do to dye them is get a pot of boiling water on,
take it off the stove
toss in your dye( all of it)
put your RPM arms in and leave them in for about 3-4 mins or until desired color
next as soon as you pull them out put them in ICE cold water, this stiffens them back up and wont flex soo much
this is the proper way to do it
happy dyeing

Thanks a lot!!! Should the pot be just big enough to fit all the parts into??? I just finished disassembling the 10T and plan on doing all of the parts that I can. Does it make a difference if they are original Associated products and NOT RPM???

It depend if they are black or white. If they are white then you might be able to but I can't guarantee they will take the color. If they are black in color then it won’t work.
