Ok Rev Race is a small off road track with tight turns. Everything you want is low end, and quick turning responce. A good engine with linier power aplication will be your best friend.
I think it comes down to your budget.
The Kyosho and TTR S3 have the tightest turning radiuses of any buggy out there. The Jammin did very well in the XRC cage shoot out and the price can't be beat. It does turn wider, but you can compensate for this some what with tail braking in the corners.
The OS V Spec has solid linier feel, and a good easy to tune power band. I have heard of issues with the V Spec with regard to the baerings going out around a gallon of fuel, but Os has provided warentee support for this issue.
If you can spend between $300 and $400 bucks on an engine, I just got a Nova 421B modded by Rick at RBMODS.net. This isn't cheap but the power is unreal. He also sells a Corono P5, and some others that are around $350.00 and will work great.
RB Engines are nice, but seem to lack the low end grunt needed for small tracks. On top end they are crazy fast.
My suggestion to you is if you aren't going to run a stock engine give Rick a call and ask him. He is a great guy and pretty sure he has team drivers that run out at RevRace so he could give you the low down.
Also you will want to run a JP-1 or similer pipe for low end.
Just my two cents...
I think he means electric modified buggy?

For mod buggy the track is pretty big. The back straight is pretty long and the jump in the middle is huge. I would go with a 11-12

Even at the biggest tracks most pros don't use much below a 12-turn. And lots have been using 14-turns. I'd stick with one of those.
