June-July Paint Competition
once we get enough people to get on their airbrushes or cans, we can start this competition up as soon as possiable. Since this is the first one, this one will last just about 2 months, so that we can get people to get their work in. The rules will be listed below.
THE RULES
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-All contestiants from all countries are allowed to enter, there are no restrictions on age or anything like that.
-Instead of having one judge, we will post a poll up, so the people can chose the best one!
-No offending bodies will be allowed in this competition
-any kind of body is accepted, cars boats trucks, anything!
-You must submit 5 photos of your car, they must be as listed below:
-One or more of the body mounted
-no photo editing! Cropping is only allowed
-This competition is just for fun
-The competition will end the at midnight est on the last day of the event
-If there are problems with the voting, we will have a selection of judges (5 or more) to judge the entries
-You must use this format for the information on your body/paint job:
-Name of the project (your name is not requried)
-Name of paints used on the body
-Body Manufacture
-Inspiration
-This information can change at anytime without any prior notice, please chack back before entering the competitions.
-ONE BODY PER ENTRY

To upload Pictures:
When you are in a reply state or starting a new thread, you click on manage attachments at the bottom of the page, and the pictures will show up on the forum once you click submit

That is simmmply self explanitory

To get your own avatars:
Click on USER CP (user control panel)
and click edit avatar on the side bar
You will need a program to shrink a image to 80/80 pixles (use panit shop pro the easiest!)
and you upload it, and it will be up next to your name as you avattar

This is a Traxxas Nitro Rustler chassis fully tricked out to the maxx.This is my OLD SKOOL part1 The body is a PARMA 57 CHEVY truck. It is painted with silver metalflake then pearl grape with pearl purple ghost flames using a PARMA flame mask. Then trimmed in silver with tinted windows. The bed is covered with PARMA carbon fiber decal. The lights are custom L.E.D.'s . And the blower is from a MUSCLE MACHINES model. DUBRO bodyklips help hold the body on. I like the old pickup bodies because I have a 66 Chevy truck that Im restoring now.

hey guys, heres my freshly painted Skoda body for my TC3. let me know what you think of it. im always open to coments... good and bad. enjoy!

Colors Used: FasFlouorange, Fassilver, fasmetblue, creatix gray, creatix white, fasblack, custom mixed gunmetal color (headlights), custom mixed light gray (rear checkers) custom mixed dark metallic blue (3D effect in the drops).
Body Manufacturer: Team Losi
Inspiration: i took some of the idea from the team losi guys with the drops in the front. i decided to make them stand out alittle bit better and make them 3D looking. i also had checkers in my last bodies and i decided to put them in there as well.

the grill and headlights are all paint. the only stickers are ones from my sponsors being SRP and myself, Blazin' Paints.

Okay here are my top three picks. I put a bit of constructive criticism along with my choices so you can see where improvements could be made and why I chose what at did. Don't take my criticism the wrong way; just think of it as a way to improve your painting skills. You've all done very well, but there can only be one winner. :D

1. RCRacer37 - Red truck with flames paint job. It's clean and not many flaws that I can see in the photos. The black drop shadows could be just a little bit cleaner. The tips of them are a little thick. Other than that it was pulled off very well. :cool:

2. BlazinB4 - Splash Skota. This was also a very nice paint job. I like the combination of the splash and tears. I especially like how there are double splashes up front. The checkers are done very well too. They match up and flow nicely. Where this body is lacking though is in the splashes. In my opinion they are a little too symmetrical and choppy. To do splashes the mask needs to be cut smooth with flowing curves. And I think they look better when there is a little randomness to them. To do symmetrical and pattern type splashes is a little difficult to get them to look right. This body just doesn't do it quite yet. It's close though. ;)

3. rcpaint - The Reptile body. I liked the fact that this was done freehand. It's a great idea and works well with the body. However, I think it could have been done a little cleaner. A little more practice with the airbrush and this paint job would be awesome. I would suggest picking up a few airbrush books that have dragons and such and see how they do it. You might want to look into trying hand held stencils. There are tons out there that could help. This scheme is a great idea; it just needs a little more work. The eyes look awesome! Good job! :cool:

1. Random Insanity - The Black Cadillac was by far the nicest body in the group. The only flaw is that I did not have it myself. Other than that it was pulled off very well. :cool:

yes you are still allowed to submit, but Derek is the judge for the magizine, since this was the first comp, i made a mistake and had 2 judges, and derek is the main judge, because that one gets put into the magizine.
